If you're conversant with matters aviation,you must be knowing that very few Russian made aircraft are compatible with many conventional facilities/technical backups/serviceability in most airports save for the Tupolevs that are for commercial pax. Beasts like Antonovs and Ilyushins that are predominantly freighters are hard nuts to crack at most airports that stick to quick-turn-arounds due to slot scheduling especially fueling by use of hydrants. As such, when coming to airlift heavy stuff,they need max fuel capacity unlike when only coming to offload hence the need to have an airport that can handle their peculiarity.
