Mahakama ya Kimataifa ya Haki (ICJ) imetoa uamuzi unaoitaka Serikali ya Israel kuacha mashambulizi dhidi ya maeneo yanayokaliwa na Wapalestina pamoja na kuruhusu Misaada ya Kibinadamu kwa Waathiriwa wa Vita.

Hatua hiyo inafuatia Kesi iliyofunguliwa na Serikali ya Afrika Kusini katika Mahakama hiyo ikiituhumu Israel kuhusika na Mauaji ya Kimbari dhidi ya Watu wa Palestina.

Pia, Mahakama imeagiza Serikali ya Israel kuhakikisha inachukua hatua zote kuepuka vitendo vya mauaji, kujeruhi, vita yao kutoathiri Wanawake wanaojifungua na kutoa adhabu kwa wanaotoa maoni ya kuchochea Mauaji huko Gaza.

Aidha, Israel imetakiwa kuwasilisha ripoti katika Mahakama hiyo kuhusu utekelezaji wa maamuzi yote yaliyotolewa katika Hukumu iliyosomwa leo Januari 26, 2024.

“I’m not going to get concerned about it. At the end of the day, we have to defend our country, we have to get our hostages back. And it’s really not going to matter, it’s just not going to matter,” he said.

“South Africa has their own internal problems. They have an election coming up, so they figure that instead of dealing with issues like crime and poverty in South Africa, ‘let’s call out attention and be the international champion of Hamas and the Palestinians’.”
