You must knw tht a Galaxy is an astronomically huge phenomena for it to cease in its existence within a 13billion year period..
Now let us take the case our Galaxy, ie. the 'Milky Way' for instance and see how astronomically huge it is, then try to image how long it would take for it to shutdown or collapse and therefore cease to exist.
The image of our Galaxy we see on earth, is what we normaly reffered to as the Milkyway. it actualy looks like a band of stretch of lights because we are seeing it from its blade, ie. its Side Elevation of its disk shape form [emoji1427]

Then you can just image that our huge Solar System, ie. the Sun+its 8Planes just looks like a dot of star among many many other millions of stars within the said milkyway galaxy. [emoji1427]
(nb: all the stars we are able to see at night is just but a millionth of all the stars in our galaxy)

Note that, as far as our earth takes 365.25days to complete one orbit around the sun, and so does our Sun take 251million year to complete one orbit around the centre of the Milky Way [emoji1427]

Every element of light you see here, is an independent Galaxy within the vast Universe.
That would explain how unimaginably enormous the universe is.. let me just say its to infinity or in simple terms, its endless! [emoji1427]

Walker255, so your doubt about collapsing of some galaxys within 13billion year period is not justified at all. They all still do exist upto now, given a gigantic huge scale of each and every galaxy!
