CARLO ANCELOTTI admitted he is feeling the heat after Chelsea crashed out of the FA Cup.

The Italian saw his Blues KO'd by Everton in a dramatic penalty shootout at Stamford Bridge.
And Ancelotti admits his side must find their focus in time for Tuesday's Champions League clash in Copenhagen.

He said: "This is football. Every time the team doesn't reach the result, obviously the manager is under pressure.
"I have fantastic support from the club, from my players. And together we have to move on.
"Obviously, we are not happy but we have to look forward, to use these days, the next days, to recover well, to recover energy and to prepare well for the next game in the Champions League.
"I think that we have the time. It will not be easy but we have the time."

...Carlo is not the problem! Those with short memories
forget that last season he steered us to becoming only the fifth team in history to do the
double. Now he's a bad manager? No. Anyone with half a brain would know it would be a
struggle to repeat last season. People get spoilt by success. No, for me it is the club's
strategy that's the problem. Firstly, we had to let some of the old guard go. We needed
fresh legs but went too far too quickly bringing in home-grown youngsters. Secondly,
it is clear to me that the senior players no longer have the "hunger". Their performances
have been shocking. Fat pay packets seem to be enough. They all know that if we don't win
the CL this year (a huge doubt anyway) and don't qualify for next year
(a strong possibility) then most of them will be offloaded at the end of the season.
They will probably be let go anyway. However, for me the biggest mistake in the club's
strategy was letting Wilkins go and replacing him with an unknown in Emenalo who, frankly,
doesn't appear to be much help to Carlo at all.
Make no mistake the role of the no.2 is critical. Maybe Fergie doesn't need one but don't
underestimate the influence of people like Pat Rice at Arsenal, Joe Jordan at Spurs and
Bryan Kidd at City. And we let the best no.2 slip through our grasp, Stevie Clarke.
I guarantee he was a major influence behind the recent loss to Liverpool. No, we must stop
calling for Carlo's head because we need a stable management structure. RA and the rest of
the board must leave Carlo to get on with it and stop making knee-jerk decisions.
Carlo needs the support of a decent no.2. Let him have one. He needs to spend wisely in the
summer to freshen up the squad. No more prima donnas please! The bubble may have burst for
now and it may lead to a short-term lack of success but I'm confident we'll be back sooner
rather than later.
