The fact that Arabs and Indians control vast amounts of wealth does have roots in colonialism. What strikes me the most is how very few they are relative to black Africans yet their hands are on so much wealth in this country, and the same applies for Kenya.

Usually, they are very secluded from the general public. And their living standards are somewhat “much better” than average natives. You’ll find their children in good private schools and most of them go to university abroad to get the best education so they can take over their family’s businesses (generational wealth).

If they own companies, you’ll most likely find the top executives and high ranking employees being of their own race. Or you’ll notice that they are related in some way. It’s very unlikely to meet an African executive in an Indian or Arab company.

So, what has the government of Tanzania have in plan to ensure equal opportunity for everyone in the country?

That is in private sector, those are family businesses, they can employ their family members the way they wish so long as they are Tanzanians.

On other hand in Kenya, almost 75% of government" high ranking posts are occupied by only two tribes, Kikuyu and Kalenjin. It is the responsibility of government to make sure that there is equity on government jobs posts not in family businesses.

Why don't you ask your government to make sure that there is equality instead you are concerned with private/family matter?

Wouldn’t you agree that there’s an issue with the way opportunity is spread out among the people of this country? Obviously it’s generational wealth; old money circulates within the same families and the government does very little to absolutely nothing to ensure that there’s equal opportunity for everyone to attain wealth.

From educational opportunities to accessing capital to employment opportunities, the government has turned its back on us.

If there’s a job opening and someone of African descent who is more qualified than a family member will probably not get the job because of nepotism. Hiyo asilimia 90% ya Mimba za watoto kwamba zinatokana na consensual sex umeitoa wapi? Una research study ya ku-support stats zako?

We all like the idea that teenagers, whose bodies have begun undergoing sexual maturity, are responsible and they can completely ignore their sexual awakening, which is completely false. Religion teaches them that premarital sex will send them to hell, but schools should teach them EVERYTHING about sex! From health risks to social and economic issues related to young parenthood, they need to know all of it! As a matter of fact, they need to know that when they cannot stop themselves from having sex, they should ALWAYS use protection.

Educating children about sex will certainly make a huge difference. But we cannot stop pedophiles and sexual predators from reaching our kids. This is where criminal justice comes in.

Households are also very poor; some kids would easily accept “chipsi mayai” or other regular gifts in exchange for sex because their parents cannot afford it!

It’s ridiculous when some of you think it’s a good idea to send a teenage boy to spend 30 years behind bars and a pregnant teen girl to be kept away from school. Are you out of your f*cking minds?

Samia has made a good decision, but she mustn’t stop here. This issue needs careful and special attention. The way forward should consist of multiple solutions to combat the problem, not just sitting down and ignoring it.
