“The money will be spent on completing payments for five aircraft for ATCL which include a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, two Boeing 737-9 aircraft, one cargo Boeing 767-300F and one Dash 8 Q400,” Prof Mbarawa said.

Prof Mbarawa, said government was determined to turn Tanzania into a transport and logistics hub in East and Central Africa and that it has signed contracts for the purchase of five more aircraft for ATCL.

The contracts will see the country purchasing a Dash 8 Q400, two Boeing B737-9 Max, a Boeing B787-8 Dreamliner and a Boeing 767-300F for cargo.

The purchases of the planes which are expected to arrive early next year will bring ATCL’s fleet to 16 aircraft

Kwa wa ujenzi wa infrastructure, china wako sawa kabisa hata inaonyesha USA vumbi, ukiona jinsi majiji yao, barabara,bridges etc yamejengwa yapo sawa kabisa...pia kwa ujenzi wa reli na treni ya umeme, Lakini kwa vitu kama simu, magari, aircraft jamaa tuachie wenyewe...huwezi kuwa champe kwa kila kitu. Hata we unajua ukipewa option ya kununua gari german au chinese utachagua gani.

Kenya is very secretive with its military capability that even Kenyan enthusiasts like me usually are surprised when we see some attack helicopters which we didn't know existed, and no wonder even Wikipedia has no idea about the additional information. They left out a lot of aircraft that even came out to the public including the
Eurocopter Fennec Combat helicopters(the only time we saw these pictures, were during delivery, note that the rotor blades and coaxial armament/weapon system like grenade launchers/machine guns aren't attached yet. The last picture shows final assembly and Since then little is known about them / has been spotted
