Battle: Dar es Salaam vs Nairobi

Battle: Dar es Salaam vs Nairobi

Unasema hatuna viwanda vyenye geothermal na wind power kuwazd lkn vipo ss hyo ndiyo tofauti mkuu kwmb miradi yenu yote mnayofanya Tz ipo ila kuna miradi inafanyika Tz but kenya haipo.

😀 😀 😀 👇

Picha moja tu? Hahaha. Mbona Mkandarasi haposti video ya updates kama vile Yapi Merkezi anavyoposti ya Sgr yenu? Kuna uwezekano kwamba mradi huu umesimama lakini hawataki kuambia wananchi. Picha moja haitoshi kuelezea progress iliyofanyika.

wacha uchoko wewe hatuna white elephant projects! Unadhani LAPSSET hii? all those upcoming mega minerals smelters unadhani zitatumia mchanga?

Angalia new grid lines being launched already!

Power transmission project for SGR trains now 94 pct complete
WORK on the power transmission line project that will transmit electricity for the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) trains is now 94 percent complete and will be finalised by the end of this month – May 2020.

This was revealed by the Minister for Energy, Dr Medard Kalemani in Morogoro Region during his inspection visit of the power transmission infrastructure for high voltage electricity, saying he was pleased with the project’s pace.
He said the completion of the project will in a large measure contribute to the country’s economy by increasing the country’s revenue as more power will be bought from the power utility – Tanzania Electric Supply Company (Tanesco) and the Tanzania Railways corporation will reduce the cost for buying fuel for its locomotives.
The power transmission line will pass through four centres along SGR line – Pugu in Dar es Salaam Region, Ruvu in Coast Region Kidugallo and Kinguliwira in Morogoro Region.
“The project will be completed within the time agreed by the project’s contract because already 450 out of the 455 pylons have already been erected and the remaining five are still in various stage of construction, hence before the end of this month (May) the project will be completed,” Dr Kalemani said.
He said the project is the first of its kind in East Africa, to be followed by Kenya which will start in 2021 and Uganda in 2025.
The project has cost more than 72.6b/- and the contractor has been paid in time.
Dr Kalemani also visited Mtibwa sugar factory where he said the government has set aside 1.2b/- for the construction of power line to be used by the sugar factory alone.
He said the power line is expected to be completed in six months time beginning this month (May 2020) and will assist the sugar factory get reliable power needs for the next five years.
He said as of now Mtibwa Sugar factory gets 5 to 8 MW of power but sometimes the power becomes weak due to long transmission distance and added that there have been frequent outages that have been causing damage to the machinery.
The factory was built in 1954 and started production in 1963 up to now. It has the capacity to produce 200 up to 350 tonnes of sugar per day and the target is to produce 1,000 tonnes per day as they are making improvements to the infrastructures including power infrastructures.

Kwa kutafuta habari za Kenya, wewe ni kama fuko. Hatuna anayekushinda kutafuta habari za Kenya
Ujinga ya Uhuru! Instead of strengthen the existing institutions like Police air force to even offer comercial services, he is transfering the duties to KDF a soon to be a costly shortcut! At end of the day KDF who r damn corrupt n can't be questioned by the Parliament (a security matter) will be overwhelmed! And believe me u will have double the incidences of choppers/aircraft crashing in a year!

BTW At least mimi natafuta habari na siongei vitu vya kifalamanga kama wewe as I am not guided by emotions but facts always!

Wewe unahara tu ujinga wowote nikikuuliza why is JNHPP a white elephants while unit cost of electricity will be below $11 cents? and over 3 transmission grids r already built to connect the site!? What will be ur defence?

105k mpk Chalinze..
