You're the one making these accusations, so support them. I'm merely invoking the defence that a man is innocent until proven guilty. I think you have convicted this man before any valid findings have been announced and that is not correct in any society

If 1 million dollars is found in your account,when you are not a businessman but a public offical in a poor country like ours,then you are definately guilty until proven innocent!

Na ni kweli....na kama kuna mtu kwenye nchi hii ambaye kweli angeweza kutengeneza pesa kwa kutoa speeches,basi Mwalimu Nyerere asingekutwa na yeyote,nani kamsikia Chenge.Basi Sumaye atatajirika sasa hivi,maana he has gone one better,alikuwa PM for 10 years na kaenda Harvard vilevile

All he needs to have done is a number of consulting jobs or presentations either at Havard itself or other institutions in different parts of the world. For him to be a State Attorney for that long, he has a wealth of information to share to the world.
Clinton analipwa kama £75,000 per lecture. Cherie Blair £30,000. As far as I am concerned someone like Chenge would have been highly regarded due to his position and his education. Even if he got paid £5,000 per lecture, calculate that maybe 5 to 10 lectures/presentation per year, over a stretch of 20years, plus smart investment in property (say UK).

On this logic (and this logic only) I am not surprised he could have that couple million 'vijisenti' in Jersey.

Taking your so-called "logic" to its natural conclusion: everything being equal, if a mere Masters of Law degree from Harvard University could result in its holder raking in potential earnings of over $1 mil. in Tanzania over a period of 20 years, then should not professional scholars who hold doctorates and other advanced degrees from similar Ivy League institutions also have turned out to be multi-millionaires in US dollars?

Indeed, why would anyone anywhere under the sun even consider compensating civil servant Chenge ex-AG of a banana republic and MP for Bariadi a speaking fee of UK Pounds 5000? Heck, by daring to even mention Chenge's name in the same breath as Bill Clinton's shows just how deluded your imagination is. The only conclusion thus is you must be a dunce to even come up with such a far fetched dumb ass scenario.

Sorry to disappoint you, some of us believe in the the presumption of innocence (being innocent until proven guilty by the court of law) therefore the burden of proof is thus on the prosecution, which has to collect and present enough proving evidence to convince the judge and jury, who are restrained and ordered by law to consider only actual evidence and testimony that is legally admissible, and in most cases lawfully obtained, that the accused is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

So far, he hasnt done this! he rather chose to steal from poor Tanzanians. The guy is a killer and responsible for thousands of deaths in Tanzania!

Actually your comment proves that the one who is thinkin in a dumb ass scenario is you. If you dont know the value of someone who has been an Attorney General for over 20years, in a rich country like Tanzania, you truly think like a banana republic.

Just because Tanzania is 'poor' or 'banana republic' it dont mean the west cant make money from it.

In terms of £500per hour, that is nothing when it comes to business. It doesnt matter what you studied or where you studied, its just that a lot of companies will pay even for bullshit if they can make more money from you. Take the dumbest politician in the country and give him/her the opportunity to have exposure on a world stage. Make them think they are making a change/contribution to the world, believe you me, they will give you more than you are investing.
