I'm not saying there's no authoritarianism in Kenya but you can't compare what we have here in Kenya with what you guys (Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi) go through. We are not the same.

We are not the same because every country has her own specific unique problems in politics, The reason why unaona kuna tension kubwa Tanzania na Uganda kwa sasa ni kwamba sisi tunaelekea kwenye General Election, Kenya is not

When it comes to democracy we are way better buana. The last time an opposition leader was arrested by the ruling party in a bid to prevent them from running was in 1992 and there was so much demonstrations that the arrested individuals were released (a privilege that Tanzania is yet to achieve). Mark you, they were not even the most popular candidates in the opposition. If you are 19 today, that was 14 years before you were born. In 2025, Ruto cannot even fathom arresting opposition leaders with impunity like it happens in the other 4 countries I mentioned. In short, you guys are where we were in 1982 - that is 43 years ago. We are clearly not the same in that respect. Sisi tunakuanga na tension towards election but the problem of candidates being arrested and barred from contesting is too foreign to us. Ni kama ng'ombe kutoa maziwa ya blue.
