Tanzania Minister of Natural Resources and Tourism Dr Pindi Chana has said that the government will erect a huge curtain at Mt Kilimanjaro to block tourists from viewing the mountain from the Kenyan side in Oloitokitok town.

reasoning is that when tourists come to view the mountain via the Kenyan side , it's Kenya tourism sector that benefits and the mountain is tanzanias while the government of Tanzania don't benefit or earn any income. tourists who want to view the mountain should enter Tanzania, pay visas and other related charges then view the mountain.

I repeat again, Kenya kuna minerals na hakuna anayekataa hilo. What we are trying to tell you is that the quantities are so negligible to make any significant contribution in the country's foreign exchange na economy in general.
