It's good you mentioned zoning. Planning is about many things, not just straight roads. Some cities do not have straight roads but are well planned..................and in that regard, Kenya has done a better job at having a Manhattan Road design than Tanzania anyway. Compare Nakuru and Arusha normal mwananchi neighborhoods.
