Truth of the matter is: highly knowledgeable South Africans have much respect for Tanzania, but average and ignorant South Africans look and talk so down upon all African countries with deep-seated resentment.
Most South Africans were born and raised in the rural areas, lived there like cattle and it was forbidden to enter the city without a pass
"colloquially known as a "dompas," which was a form of internal passport .This passbook contained personal information and employment history, and any white person could demand to see it, resulting in arrest for not carrying it or for carrying a "fake" one"
And the only ones who were lucky enough to have one were a few laborers, the rest only heard about city life on the radio.
When independence came, all the rural people flocked to the cities, when they arrived at the townships, they found other Africans had known town life for a long time and were making a fortune while they themselves, South Africans, were no different from the Pokots in Kenya. GHapa ndipo Chuki ilianza kwakua wao walijua wangeweza kudominated other Africans wa mataifa mengine kwaku apale ni kwao. kumbe mshamba ni mshamba tu!
Nduio maana unaona kila waendapo Africa hii or wasikiapo kuhusu African countries, irrespectively, wao ni kuponda tu.
