Not necessarily, Rotterdam and Hamburg Marshalling yards and all massive yards around the world including Antwerpen r outside the port connected with rail lines or even long canals that allow barges to sail!






FYI:
That Kwala dryport and Ruvu marshalling yard location is strategic to even serve cargo from Bagamoyo port when built in the future! The plan is all the port users from Zambia, DRC, Rwanda, Burundi and Uganda will be collecting cargo from Kwala dry port in case of trucks while shunted to block trains incase of SGR!

To be fair enough huwezi kufanya shughuli za cargo sorting n shunting for inland block trains on berths of busiest ports in the World!
