Wacha story mingi, leta diaspora remittance ya Tanzania kutoka SA.
That's why Kenyan men are getting married in US and Europe, you don't think about building your Economy from within your country instead you depend on working in other Countries and sending money back home, nor wonder Tanzania dominates exports to all other countries in this region.

Excuses to justify the laziness of your diaspora who go abroad to take selfies to update Instagram and beg for welfare money. Kenyans in the US and UK are ranked among the industrious immigrants that can't be said for Tanzanians. This year we are projecting 3.4b$ remittance as you keep whining.

Stats says otherwise
1. You aren't self sufficient so you import 150m$ worth of timber to cover the deficit

2. The timber industry in tz just like many sector isnot regulated leading to illegal logging.

CAG says 96% of trees cut is done illegally View attachment 2047439View attachment 2047440
We never import timber, this is not true, but it is true that big part of timber cutting is illegal, here are the reasons
1)Timber businesses involves mainly hard wood which must come from indeginous trees (miti asili), these trees takes many years to grow, hence not easy to replace them.
2)There are tough laws to protect these "miti asili", somebody needs special government permission before you can be allowed to cut them.
3)Because the business is lucrative, people do cut them illegaly.
4)But electric poles and soft wood are not from "miti asili" soft wood are manly from Pine and Eucalyptus trees which are planted and harvested the same way like sugar cane, these are not part of illegal business.
