We call this "Soko Mjinga" where everyone and everybody sells the same damn goods to anybody! No value addition for long shelf life and better returns! Kenya's seasonal shortage is that of grain staples which form part of majority's diet and not of fresh produce! As a matter of fact, we airlift horticultural produce daily in plane loads to international markets as well as adding value by processing for local/regional market. I think we are not on the same wave length!
Most of the fruits farming in tanzania is irrigation usije ukaona hivyo ukafikiri ni msimu nenda sokoni kila siku utayakuta, Tanzania ina mito mingi sana na mabwawa, maziwa na other water sources za irrigation

Bado unaendelea na denial na kukataa ukweli, Kenya wanategemea Tanzania kwa kila kitu, from maize, rice to fresh produces, what you produce there are not enough even for local consumptions leave alone for export, what you export are flowers and green beans which are produced from green houses specifically for europe market, Kenya produces what it can't consume, and consumes what doesn't produce. If you don't have enough arable enough land, how can you produce enough fresh produces for export?

Thank God you don't border Somalia! This has nothing to do with our socio-economic policies or that tired line of selfishness. With your so called strong foundation why aren't you better off! The constant threat of terror and associated risks can drain even the strongest of will power, thank God we Kenyans are resilient and focused on what we ultimately want despite the threats! Thank God too that Tanzania is relatively peaceful and pray that you will never experience our predicament.
These are some of the problems that you create yourselves in Somalia,n then mnalialia eti hamkujitakia hizo shida zote http://googleweblight.com/i?u=http:...30-15mu4mq/index.html&grqid=nYPPR1k2&hl=en-TZ

tanzania sio shamba la bibi😀😀😀😀
na huo ndio mwanzo kazi bado ipo😛😛

Such a simplistic mentality! Why then do we belabor with the EAC if we can't do the mere minimum of unhindered trade? I'm pretty sure in the long run if Kenyan buyers run away,it's the Tz sellers that will feel the pinch.
