There is no single 5 star Hotel In Kisumu yet that’s your 3rd Largest City, na huwa mnafika mbali you compare Kisumu with Arusha 🤣🤣🤣

There is a 5 star hotel in Naivasha which is just a small town
There is a 5 star hotel in Nanyuki, another small town
There are 5 star hotels in Diani and Watamu
There are 5 star hotels in Malindi
There is a 5 star hotel in Nyeri

All those much smaller and less important towns than Kisumu.
Judging a town solely based on whether it has a 5 star hotel is stupid. Some towns/cities are tourist towns, others are not. Arusha is situated right in the middle of Tanzania's top tourist attractions, Kisumu is not a tourist city. You're judging an elephant by it's ability to climb a tree.
All in all, Kisumu has some luxurious hotels that some may consider 5-star.
