Mara ya kwanza kwenda Mbeya pale 'down town' (almost 3oyrs ago), nilishangaa kuona mji ulivyo msafi.
There's construction everywhere

Mashamba ndio unaita streets?
Hiyo sehemu yenye mashamba ni new street, 5 years to come sehemu yote itakuwa covered na nyumba bora na za kisasa
By the way University ninayosoma ipo Mbeya. Karibu Mbeya 😁😁

We should demand more and you are showing us new terminal? Really!
We have new terminal 3, Msalato airport nearly finished, Znz new terminal, Arusha new terminal. Please tuambie kitu kingine. Reason watu wanawaonesha BRT kila siku kwasababu mnaiponda sana. Phase 1 hiccups ziliwapa cha kuongea sasa Phase 2 imeanza vizuri lazima tuwakoge.
If only you knew the story behind that terminal then you would understand the significance.
The initial deal was flawed!
The deal was pushed without competitive bidding or public disclosure.
Kenyans opposed handing control of a key airport to a foreign private company.
The financial model seemed to favour Adani more than Kenya.
There would be significant job losses to Kenyans and hired foreigners
Adani’s controversial global reputation
Unrealistic project assumptions that no airport would be constructed within a certain period
Lack of public participation Not to mention it bypassed required procurement rules.

To add on this, the infrastructure itself wasn’t dealing with the initial proposal of constructing a second runway!
Now Kenyans sniffed it out and now we are getting a better deal
This is the significance for demanding more and holding more accountability

Assuming that’s true, what’s Tanzania or Kenya doing to change this narrative? I think we lack structure, you can build good highways but without proper structure they will still be overwhelmed in a few years.
I love the way South Africa seriously dedicated their time to structure the road networks so well it rivals the American road network which they used as a blueprint

Tanzania Steps Into the Nuclear Era: How the Mkuju River Project Signals Africa’s New Energy Frontier

“This is a landmark achievement for our country… For the first time, Tanzania is stepping onto the global uranium map with the capacity to supply a strategic mineral essential for safe and sustainable energy generation worldwide.”
— President Samia Suluhu Hassan

Tanzania’s entry into the global nuclear landscape has taken a significant leap forward. After nearly a decade of groundwork, the country officially launched its pilot uranium processing facility in July 2025—a milestone personally officiated by President Samia Suluhu Hassan. This marks the beginning of a broader national ambition to generate clean, reliable, and strategically valuable nuclear energy.

The journey began in October 2016 when Tanzania signed an agreement with Russia’s State Nuclear Corporation, ROSATOM, to develop a nuclear research reactor as the foundation for future energy generation. Today, this collaboration has matured into a full-fledged uranium development program centered around the Mkuju River Uranium Project, located at the Nyota deposit within the Selous Game Reserve. Operated by ROSATOM’s subsidiary, Mantra Tanzania Ltd., the project is structured to produce up to 3,000 tonnes of uranium annually, positioning Tanzania as the second-largest uranium producer in Africa after Namibia.

Argue with substance if you want to be respected. Give a lost of those white elephant projects and elaborate why they are “white elephant “
Everyone in the world knows that all Kenyan projects are dead, there are too many examples.

All I can say is, we(Tz) are not doing enough if we are doing anything at all.
