Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday sent a congratulatory message to H.E. Samia Suluhu Hassan on her assumption of office as President of the United Republic of Tanzania. President Xi said that he sets great store by growing China's relations with Tanzania, and will work with President Hassan to implement the outcomes of FOCAC Beijing Summit, elevate the China-Tanzania comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership to higher levels, and contribute even more to the building of an all-weather China-Africa community with a shared future for the new era.

30+ floors and it has barely made any headlines. Boy are we spoilt for choice to the point of taking things for granted.
And to think that one of the most iconic building in Nairobi, I&M Bank tower, is only 16 floors... We've come from far.

I believe Dar is where we were in early 2000s. (Doesn't mean 25 years away. Big difference. Cities are developing much faster than in 2000s,). Addis is the best example.

Nairobi's edge (CBD) will always be that of an almost European, well-organized, wall-to-wall buildings on narrow streets layout. In Sub-Saharan Africa, I think only SA has something similar. To replicate that will be hard. Plus the trees and the parks.

The other day I saw a video tour of Dodoma's new government city and almost puked at what should in theory "be a future great state capitol' for one of these united states of EA.

Huuuge parking lots inside massive fenced compounds. ZERO chance of developing a CBD around that. They'll forever look and feel like Ngong Road car yards.. with the downside that they'll probably not be replaced in 50 years.

Yaani, even with today's tech to build underground parking lots and walkable, dense cities, they still went that cheap route.
I believe the last truly long term visionary president in East Africa (- Kagame), was Kibaki.

But it makes sense when Lissu says to reform first before elections- Tanzania is way better than other countries but such a situation just brings the whole of EA to its knees.

Many Kenyans bark like dogs on social media. But Intelligence does not work in that way.

Germany is very hurt by the defeat in the second world war. The UK is on the side of Tanzania and they know all the tricks. The USA will not be able to interfere in anything that happened in Tanzania because they know those Germans and this guy from the landlocked. The USA forced them to sign a peace agreement with the DRC after being cornered by Tanzanian forces in Eastern Congo.

Your choice, Kenyans, is clear: either agree to side with Tanzania or cooperate with those who continue colonialism.

While I 100% agree with this, you must also know that, Kikwete is one big problem in Tanzania. We created Kagame and we must be responsible for demise as well.
