"At Kenya Power, 38 employees were left unpaid, while 25 workers at the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) were also affected."

Sounds more like a HR/accounting hiccup.
Also, many universities are restructuring to the new financing system. Expect operational delays.

The national government also collects a lot of taxes from Kiambu. Probably only third after Nairobi and Mombasa.

If Kiambu was it's own country, it would probably be like the economy of Rwanda. Thika Town and Tatu city alone are probably richer than Bujumbura 😂

Umekuja viuri, Actual revenue collection FY 2024 was KSh 19bn out of it 3.4bn (49% absorption) was for development. Sasa umeona development budget ya county ni insignificant it is peanut. See page 15 below.
