Remember when Tanzania sent ‘relief aid’ to the victims of cyclone Idai In Mozambique, Zimambwe and Malawi in 2019? A few years earlier when an earthquake struck Kagera, there weren’t as much efforts to help the affected TANZANIAN citizens. It seems as though we do not care about the lives of our own people. We are definitely not prepared for emergency rescues. Perennial rainfalls that cause floods in Msimbazi almost every year claim several lives, but usually, nobody cares about rescuing these people. What a shame!
