“It’s happening,” January Makamba said in an interview in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, where he is attending the COP27 international climate summit. “In December, we will conclude the conversation. We are in the fiscal package discussions now.”

I think If this and EACOP are successful they will transform Tanzania and pave the way for more big projects (Bagamoyo, extension of SGR, etc). Success will depend a lot on good management which Tanzania still lacks so its not a given that they will be successful.
