Battle: Dar es Salaam vs Nairobi

Battle: Dar es Salaam vs Nairobi

Serikali inaweza kufanya nyumba zote zinazojengwa kwenye mikoa yenye baridi kuwa na fire place Au heating system. I don’t see why that would be a problem. Why are you against heating? Can someone try to make me understand why anyone wouldn’t want to stay warm when it’s cold?

Badala ya kuwasha jiko la mkaa ndani na kufa Kwa suffocation, a fireplace/heating system will do the job. It’s a matter of policy.
It has never been a need in the tropics wewe kilaza usilazimishe mtu kujenga fire place kwenye nyumba zao kama mwenye nyumba hataki wewe inakuwashia nini? Pilipili ale mwingine uwashwe wewe.

“The tropics” are very diverse geographically. In Tanzania, for instance, colder areas tend to be in the Southern Highlands, the Arusha-Kilimanjaro regions, Usambara mount block, etc.

I’ve visited many colonial buildings in Tanzania, and I noticed many of them have chimneys. But isn’t Europe colder than the tropical Tanzania? Why did they bother to install a heating mechanism in these buildings, knowing they were a few hundred miles south of the Equator?

It’s not just colonial buildings, some hotels and lodges have heating. So, why wouldn’t a typical citizen have access to that?

Human ingenuity helps us solve problems instead of just living through them. If some people died because it was too cold and they didn’t have the right means to keep themselves warm, isn’t it right to finally do something?

You act like it’s an invasion of privacy to have the government make life better for everyone. I think you haven’t had the privilege to have the right people in the positions of power. Because if you did, there would be a leader who cared enough about this issue.

I have lived in Eastern US and europe I know what I am saying.
So you say. Do all Europeans have easy access to the beach? If you lived in Berlin or Paris or Vienna, would you go to Southern France or Italy or Spain every day to stay cool through the hot summers?

I live a few miles away from the beach, yet it’s inconvenient to constantly go there every day to stay cool. Why would I leave my house with a good Air conditioning system?

Let’s take a look at some buildings with a fireplace in Tanzania. Because people here think it’s such an alien and unnecessary concept.

I found this short reel from a famous Tanzanian vlogger. He filmed it in a vacation home in Lushoto, Tanga. Lushoto is notoriously cold, and there are people who live there without access to any form of heating.

Here’s a better view of the fire place.

Kimemo cottages in Arusha. Notice the chimneys? And the fireplace? These things are a LUXURY, which is unfortunate. You’ll most likely see them in hotels and rich residences. But the average citizen doesn’t have access to them? Why?

A lodge in Iringa. Nice and cozy for tourists and anyone who can afford paying $100 a night. But the average citizen should shiver under worn out blankets! Nobody gives a shit.

Sasa si watamstress hata akipata sasa hivi ataweza kufanya vizuri kweli?

Ila Afrika bado tuko strong anaweza kufanya wonders tumuombee apate visa, better late than never!
Amepata visa ila amefanyiwa madhambi.

Je kama itazidi can you classify that person kuwa below poverty line?
Upo sahihi nakubaliana nawe ila nina matatizo mawili na wazo lako nataka unijibu.
1. Wazo lako lipo sahihi kwa wale watu wanaoishi mashambani. Wao ndio wanaokula mayai kila siku kwa sababu wanafuga kuku. What about Waafrika wanaoishi town au kwenye cities?

Poverty sio lack of access to food pekee.

For the past few I have started to see alot of Nairobi vs Lagos hehe am sure very soon after elections if we get a good governor and he cleans the city good this dar vs Nairobi thing will be a thing of the past, that you can take to the bank... We will leave dar still stuck to there brt and generator SGR things they have been singing about for more that 3years now nothing new and so as to be clear it's Nigerians posting not Kenyans.
