HDI and GDP indicators are not theoretical, they are practical. Which Kenyans are living in bad and humiliating lives? Are you referring to the people in the north facing starvation? Well, UN bodies know about them and everytime they compile their data, these people are part of consideration. At the end of the day, and after doing everything, their data still shows we are way better than you.

You can't force your thinking which is not based on any scientific data or research to be the gospel truth. It just shows your level of desperation and, to some extent, ignorance.

,You don't have the monopoly of knowledge. The UN bodies you are busy dismissing their data know better than what you think you know. It's high time you accepted the truth and moved on coz no amount of noise will ever change those UN figures. This energy you are using to dispute UN figures invest it in meaningful work like how to eradicate extreme poverty in your country, which is the highest in the region. Adios!
