Three new management deals including a high-end tented camp

Kempinski Hotels has inked a trio of new management contracts for two lodges and a high-end tented camp in Tanzania, earmarked to debut in 2023.
The three Kempinski properties will be able to be combined in a roundtrip experience, offering luxurious stays in close vicinity to the most demanded attractions in Tanzania.
Inspired by the natural elements of surroundings and with a focus on sustainability, each lodge has its own expressive architectural language and distinctive character that is unique to its particular, protected environment.
KEMPINSKI MSASA LODGE LAKE MANYARA
Kempinski Msasa Lodge Lake Manyara consists of 19 tents with terrace and outdoor showers, two junior suite tents with an outside pool as well as two family tents with two rooms. Perched on a ridge overlooking the lake and deep gorges, the luxurious tented camp will offers access to world-class game viewing and an exceptional birdlife variety.
KEMPINSKI LONGOSA LODGE SERENGETI
Serengeti National Park will be home to the 75 rooms Kempinski Longosa Lodge Serengeti. Guest rooms will start at 71 square-metres, suites from 98 square metres, a three-bedroom villa at 270 sqm and a Presidential Villa of 400 sqm. Bars and lounges, dining area with decks and outdoor cooking, fire pit, outdoor pool, children‘s play corners and wellness area round off the facilities in the middle of an unspoiled setting of the animal migration corridor.
KEMPINSKI KITBONG HILL TARANGIRE
Kempinski Kitbong Hill Tarangire will round out the new offering. The lodge will offer 75 rooms, suites and villas, surrounded by Baobab trees in the heart of Tarangire National Park.

“With these new Kempinski destinations in Tanzania, we are able to offer the best of both worlds to our guests by combining a stay in harmony with nature and the highest quality standards our brand has been known for over the last 125 years.”
Schroeder said the new management agreements with Helios Lodges Company was in line with Kempinski Hotels’ expansion around the globe.
Tanzania is the second country in Southern Africa for the five-star hospitality company, which operates two properties in Kenya, including the Olare Mara Kempinski Masai Mara.

The fresh arrangement with Helios Lodges Company comes nearly 10 years after Kempinski exited Tanzania having wound-up property management deals for two previous assets; a hotel in Kilimanjaro and a lodge in the Serengeti.
The main entry point for visitors to the Kempinski Lodges is Kilimanjaro International Airport or the airport of Dar Es Salaam with connections to Arusha or Lobo. Flights are also available from Zanzibar.
