Nilikuwa tuu nakufafanulia jinsi nilivyomuelewa joto la jiwe katika bandiko hili #271,444 . Binafsi siwezi kusema chochote kuhusu mama kwa kuwa bado ni mapema sana kutoa tathmini.

Sio kwamba mama ataiuza nchi,
Ila uwezo binafsi wa raisi kujua hapa tunaibiwa.
Mfano, makinikia bila jpm hii biashara ingeendelea kwa muda mrefu.
Mererani, sidhani kama kuna mtu angewaza kujenga ukuta.
Vitu kama hivi hauvikuti kwenye report ya CAG.

usichukulie poa kiti cha raisi anyway raisi(taasisi) anapokea taarifa nyingi sana kinachotakiwa ni yeye kuamua na jopo lake la washauri kwa maslah ya taifa.
hapo kale ripoti zilkua zinafungiwa makabatini kwa kuhofia maamuzi magumu.......which is 6yrs haikupita kapa kwa yule maza

SADC gets tough on Mozambique

THE Chairperson of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Organ on Politics, Defence and Security Co-operation, President Mokgweetsi Masisi of Botswana, said the region is getting tough on the terror in Mozambique and a hard-hitting response will be noticed soon.

President Masisi on Wednesday met Presidents Edgar Lungu (Zambia) and Emmerson Mnangagwa (Zimbabwe), and revealed he had also been in touch with Cyril Ramaphosa (South Africa) on the Mozambique issue.

After meeting President Mnangagwa he said, “Coming to the regional issues to do with security and peace … as chair of the Organ, and with President Mnangagwa as the outgoing chair and therefore a member of the (Organ) Troika and President Ramaphosa as the incoming chair and a member of the Troika, last night I conferred with President Ramaphosa. I have reported to President Mnangagwa the contests of the discussions with President Ramaphosa, and we have formed views as Troika.

“One of them will result in taking this further so that we as SADC respond in a helpful manner to ensure that we assure the integrity and sovereignty of one of our own never to be assaulted by dissidents, rebellious non-state parties that undermine the democratic credentials and peace of the region.

“I speak on behalf of the Troika as Chair, following our consultations, we are going to make that known. Right now we are going to finish that with President Ramaphosa but you won’t have to look for it when you see it.”

President Mnangagwa said, “… President Masisi, as the current Chairperson of the SADC Troika, was briefing me about the security situation in the region with particular emphasis on what is happening in Cabo Delgado (Mozambique).”

Earlier, President Masisi conferred with President Lungu and assured him that the region was serious about diffusing the situation in Mozambique.

President Masisi also used the whistle stop visits to Zambia and Zimbabwe to discuss their nations’ respective bilateral ties, as well as to drum up support for Botswana’s candidate for the post of SADC Executive Secretary, Elias Magosi.

Magosi is up against the DRC’s Professor Faustin Mukela in the race to replace Tanzania’s Dr Stergomena Tax, who serves out her second four-year term in August.

President Masisi said, “I return to Botswana a thoroughly happy man because President Mnangagwa has adopted one of our own in Botswana in the name of Elias Mpendi who we have put forward for the position of the upcoming SADC Executive Secretary.”

Blocked maize traders appeal to State House

TANZANIAN and Kenyan maize traders who are stranded with truckloads of the grain at Namanga border in Longido district, Arusha region, for a month now, have called for intervention of presidents of the two countries to resolve the stalemate.

On 5 March, Kenya slapped a ban on maize imports from Tanzania and Uganda on suspicion that the grain from its two neighbours contains cancer-causing aflatoxins.

The East African Business Council (EABC)—the apex private sector body of the East African Community (EAC) - held a stakeholders meeting at Namanga One Stop Border Post to discuss the matter.

Speaking at the meeting on behalf of traders from both countries, Mercy Ireri called on President Samia Suluhu Hassan and her Kenyan counterpart Uhuru Kenyatta to intervene and resolve the matter so that the consignments can enter Kenya.

“Each trader incurs a loss of USD 200 per day due to this impasse. The matter is beyond our ability to solve,” she said.

“We kindly request presidents of the sister countries to intervene and put this matter to rest once and for all.”

Ireri who is a representative of the Kenya Truckers Association said that soon after the ban, officials from the neighbouring country arrived at the border and took samples of the maize for testing but have never come back with the outcome.

“We have tried to seek answers from the Kenya government on several occasions but in vain,” she said.

Responding to the queries, an official at the Kenyan Ministry of Agriculture, Cacutus Efukho said testing of the samples taken last month was still ongoing and once ready; the results will be made public.

Adrian Njau, the trade and policy advisor at EABC said the body will communicate the request through relevant channels in both countries.

It should be recalled that 10 days after the ban and the uproar that followed, Kenya lifted the ban but with strict conditions on exporters which many if not all are failing to comply with.

Kenya’s Ministry of Agriculture said then that all stakeholders dealing in maize imports were required to be registered, the consignments coming in must be accompanied with certificate of conformity on aflatoxin levels and that traders had to furnish details of their warehouses.

In its statement, the ministry said that certificate of conformity had to indicate that aflatoxins level in any consignment comply with the maximum permitted level of 10 parts per billion.

Ukitegemea reports kutoka chombo kilichowekwa kwa kazi hiyo "CAG" inakua simple sana kwa mafisadi au mabeberu maana watakachofanya ni kubribe hicho chombo. Ila kama una sources zako pembeni inakua ngumu maana source haijulikani (Magu style). Ndio maana hata baadhi wanapotoka kwa kuamini upinzani pekee kumbe wenzao wanalipwa kupeleka mada bungeni mfano ACACIA na Zito
