Battle: Dar es Salaam vs Nairobi

Battle: Dar es Salaam vs Nairobi

How do you expect a child to join school without a uniform for instance? In most public schools in Kenya, uniforms are sold in school and it's part of the fee. As I said earlier, the government only carters for TUITION fee, the rest of the fees are the responsibility of the parent. The government can't buy uniforms for your kids for example. The cost of keeping a child in school involves so many things. This child must pay for tuition fee, maintenance fee, activity fee, boarding fee which include food and other stuff, plus many other things. Out of these, the government took the bulk of it which is tuition fee which accounts for more than a half of all fees paid in school. Currently the government pays Ksh22,224 annually for every student admitted in a public school

Stop your nonsense, unless you didn't go to University. Fees in academic area means tuition fees, the test have different names.

When you apply for bursary at university level, you must specify as follows
1)Tuition fees
2)Food allowance not food fees
3)Books allowances, not books fees
4)Transport allowances, not transport fees
5)Rent allowances, not rent fees

These students are looking for tuition fees, not those other things, they can't be admitted because they don't have tuition fees, your minister for education has ordered Headmasters not to send back students who don't have tuition fees, do you want to tell me that even your minister is fool enough can't differentiate between tuition fees and those allowances to the extent that he refers and uses the word " tuition fees"?.

let's not argue about things you don't understand. You are a Tanzanian I am Kenyan. Things apply totally differently in these two countries. You are now giving example with university education which is a more complex and expensive model while we are talking about secondary education. I gave you example with fees such as maintenance fee, activity fee, boarding fee etc. Do these fall under tuition fee? I paid these fees in both primary and secondary school during my time in school so you definitely don't know what you are talking about. Let's leave it there

Another day another grant. Hehehe that's Tanzania ya viwonder. Nchi maskini kweli kweli

Yes we need support in education, infrastructure and other development projects to supplement our efforts, not food assistance, that is basic needs every human being must be able to feed him/her self, otherwise you don't deserve to be independent.

You know very well that we are still developing, we still need support from developed world, but which type of support we need is what differentiates Tanzania from Kenya. While Tanzania needs developmental supports, Kenya needs survival supports.

Why your minister for education categorically mentioned " Tuition fees?". He order that, " No students shall be rejected for failure to pay tuition fees?".

As long we do not need monetary support like some LDC I know of, we can always bridge that food deficit coz we have financial power to do so. We can buy from as far as Mexico as you wait for financial donors to come from as far as Sweden
