I already said that tuition fee is 100% paid by the government. Parents are only required to pay for other costs associated with keeping a child at school, especially boarders like meals and uniforms. Currently, the government pays 22,224 Kenya shillings for every student in public secondary schools. This has lessened the burden but some parents, especially those coming from very poor backgrounds, still find it a tall order to send their kids to school. But thanks to our media houses, the plight of such students are often shared and thankfully, well-wishes have always come to their rescue. I hope this has answered your question/concern
These students complain that, they can't join secondary schools because their parents can't afford to pay "School fees", not those other costs you are talking about. I repeat again, they don't have " School fees", they are looking for school fees.

That was your government's initial order in 2015. Subsequent orders were made in Kenya as per this 2018 report

And this is what part of the article says...
"Kenya is planning to import the high capacity buses yet Tanzania, which initially imported buses from China, has turned to us to use our 70-year plus experience to build them the buses,” said Mr Maundu who doubles as the Kenya Bus Body Builders Association chairman."
Hahahaha, Tanzania to use buses "Assembled in Kunyalanda?", that will be the end of this World". Hahahaha, hahahaha, hahahaha.

How do you expect a child to join school without a uniform for instance? In most public schools in Kenya, uniforms are sold in school and it's part of the fee. As I said earlier, the government only carters for TUITION fee, the rest of the fees are the responsibility of the parent. The government can't buy uniforms for your kids for example. The cost of keeping a child in school involves so many things. This child must pay for tuition fee, maintenance fee, activity fee, boarding fee which include food and other stuff, plus many other things. Out of these, the government took the bulk of it which is tuition fee which accounts for more than a half of all fees paid in school. Currently the government pays Ksh22,224 annually for every student admitted in a public school
