Diamond Platnumz Wishes He Was Born in Kenya, Challenges Kenyan Artists to Use Kenya’s Better Resources
Bongo star Diamond Platnumz believes Kenya has better resources to make it in the music industry compared to his native Tanzania.
The star, who is fresh from launching his sophomore album in Nairobi, also revealed that sometimes he wishes he was born in Kenya.
Diamond, whose rise to the top can partly be attributed to his cordial relationship with the Kenyan fanbase, said he feels loved in Kenya.
“Kenyans wananipenda sana. Wakati mwingine natamani ningekua nimezaliwa Kenya,” said Diamond.
He added: “Vitu tumefanya hapa Kenya, hamna kule Tanzania. Nawaambia wasanii wa Kenya kwamba wana vitu vizuri sana, wajitahidi kuvitumia vizuri.
Diamond further noted that if he was based in Kenya, he would be doing a lot more for his music career.
“I’m sure mimi ningekua nakaa Kenya kuna vitu vingi ningevifanya.”
The singer also lauded several Kenyan artists who have been doing great things.
“Wasanii wengi kama Bahati, Willy Paul, Sauti Sol, Nyashinski wanafanya vitu vizuri sana. Wamebahatika, wavitumie.”
He thanked all Kenyan artistes and fans who’ve been making things happen for him.
