It will only work there if the government provides it 100% free unlike Kenya where you still have to pay to own it (subsidized prices). That can be a major strain on their already stressed Bongo budget . The purchasing power of Bongo poor class is too weak for affordable housing scheme unless it’s given wholly for free . If their small middle class couldn’t even afford to make avic town a success, how will the poor make it in the housing sector…Remember Avic?… you can put a similar estate anywhere in Nairobi or Mombasa and would sell out before construction begins

Your insults clogged my mind I couldn’t follow you ..😁😁… but whatever the location , investors could put support facilities if the market is there. You can build Avic town in the middle of Kajiado county and everything they need will prop up so quick .. from Manyanga transport to shopping centers ( all put by outside investors) I guess the concept of free market system is alien to you guys..

This place is currently under construction. I will try to get pictures when I head to that side of the country.
I am impressed by how TZ 🇹🇿 forum members find these photos. In Kenya, people often post photos online to hold leaders and the government accountable and push for improvements. If similar public accountability were possible in TZ 🇹🇿, without repercussions, outcomes could improve. Sometimes shaming these African leaders publicly causes accountability.

Can you point out one lie in his statement? He gave example with Kawe City which failed terribly because there were no buyers. If you look at the level of affordable housing projects going on in Kenya and the fact that some are sold before even groundbreaking, then you'll understand his point.

Again, look at the level of highrise residential towers under construction in Nairobi ( take Westlands for example where close to thirty 25+ floor apartments are coming up almost everywhere). It clearly shows the purchasing power is there which is what he was referring to.

Bro tuseme tu ukweli, why do townhouses/ modern homes & villas fail to sell in Dar/ Tz in general? I believe if you’re into real estate you are aware that in Nairobi most apartments sell out before completion.That’s also true for other cities like Mombasa.
However realtors in Tanzania have even resorted to selling to Kenyans. I see huge billboards in Nairobi advertising Fumba Town all the way in Zanzibar… a project that i believe began construction in 2015, we’re getting to 2026!!
