But that was not even the issue here. The issue was that both US and UK offered your country support directly and indirectly in your war against Iddi Amin. I already highlighted the role the US played in helping you in this war

No troops from Mozambique, Angola, Ethiopia, Zambia. No support from UK/USA. In case hujui, in 1965 all diplomatic relations with Britain were severed by Tanzania, and re-established in July 1968, just a year before the war.

While Russia did not support Tanzania directly with troops like China did, it however, did take some actions that hindered Ugandan army while benefiting your weak army. For instance, they withdrew their military advisors to Uganda while also stopped arms shipments to Kampala thus significantly weakening Uganda's position in the war.
