Construction of the Modern Industrial Park in Mlandizi, Coast Region, began in September 2021 and is expected to cost TZS 3.5 trillion (USD 1.4 billion)

The park covers 1,077 acres, divided into 210 plots, allocated as follows:

⚡ 2 plots for power substations (54MW & 400MW)
🏬 2 plots for business zones
🏥 3 plots for social services
🚛 1 plot for a dry port


As of March 2025, completed infrastructure includes:

Additionally, 11 investors have signed contracts and will commence construction after completing payment formalities.

Once operational, the park will create:
👷‍♀️ 30,000 direct jobs
👥 200,000 indirect jobs
And become a regional hub for manufacturing and logistics.
