Issue ya majengo kuanguka, there are two explanations to it. the first one is the fact that Dar es Salaam which has mostly quatzite soils has a much higher soil bearing pressure than Nairobi which has red soil to the west and black cotton the East. Secondly, Developing countries normally have two sections - a well regulated section and a section of unregulated construction where most of the average people live (what you guys call Uswazi). Nairobi's version of Úswazi' is mostly highrise buildings. Dar's uswazi is single level buildings. Do you expect such buildings to collapse? Show me a collapsed commercial building in Nairobi. Despite that, very few buildings in Nairobi actually collapse - it's only your obsession that fusses over it like flies on stool.
Look at this photo where the average Darlite lives. Look at the uncontrolled construction. Now tell me if those were all highrises like these in Nairobi, imagine how many collapses you'd have in a year.
Lastly but not least. Kama masomo yenu ni bora kuliko yetu mbona Watanzania wengi wanaojiweza wanakuja kusomea Kenya yet Wakenya hawaji kusomea Tanzania?

Regulatory boards are there. As I said, the main cause is greed. Even in the regulatory boards such as Nairobi City Hall and NEMA some officials are driven by greed. But the engineers do their jobs superb. If City Hall Approves a 20 floor building to be constructed in a zone that buildings more than four floors are not allowed, the problem is not with the engineers but with the City Hall Officials.

Yes! Here is a video of Eastleigh. All those are upcoming highrise apartments. This is Eastleigh alone and in nearly every estate in Nairobi, more and more apartments are coming up. Therefore, more buildings collapse in Nairobi since there are more buildings in Nairobi than Dar. How will Dar buildings to collapse yet they are not highrise buildings?1. Unasema you produce better engineers than us just because some buildings in Nairobi collapse? Most of the clients use shortcuts, they never consult professionals since they term them as "expensive". They design and construct buildings by themselves together with their fundis to cut budgets, architects and engineers are never consulted. Never will you find a building built by an engineer collapse, and if it does, you license is revoked and you will never practice again. Buildings constructed by engineers are always of high standards. So you don't really have evidence to prove that your engineers are better than ours.
Highrise buildings have frequently been collapsing in China, which made the government to place restrictions and new limits on buildings. Most cities in China now cannot build buildings more than 150m since a lot of buildings built are substandard. Angalia mbona zinakuwa demolished? Terrible quality.

Hata a very straight forward explanation huelewi? Engineers are not consulted since the client wants to cut budgets. Fundis have been doing this work for ages and they are cheaper therefore client sees no need of consulting an engineer while a fundi "knows" these things.
Inawezekana vipi engineer msomi apate maelekezo toka kwa client ambaye hajui fani ya ujenzi unless education yenu ni inferior.

Buildings that have collapsed in Nairobi have all been in lower income residential estates. Show me a residential estate in Dar with such many highrise buildings 🤔. You don't see highrise buildings collapse in Dar because they are not there. Anzeni kujenga highrise buildings tuone kama hazitaanguka.
