Exactly how many high-rise buildings do you think are in Nairobi? There are Thousands! How many thousand buildings have been constructed by foreign companies? For instance, Laxmanbhai Construction (a KENYAN company established by a KENYAN in KENYA) built Britam Tower, Nairobi's tallest building. The company also built Telposta Tower, Lonrho House, and Villa Rosa Kempinski (among other projects in Nairobi). The architects were Kenyans, working for Howard Humphreys Limited.
The GTC towers and complex were designed by KENYAN firm Triad Architects. There are so many others, but I have given you just two of the biggest. What you are asking me to account for is the thousands of 3 to 4-story buildings built by individual investors using small contractors. Since there have been 3 or 4 collapses (out of THOUSANDS built) Kenyans do not have the expertise? You're joking. I am pretty sure that if you take the time to research, the companies I mentioned above have projects they have undertaken in Dar.

Take note that while Kenyan architects and engineers built our tallest skyscraper, Mzizima Towers were constructed by Group Six International Limited, a Chinese Contractor. I could look into others, but I think I've made my point about construction expertise.
