Point ilikuwa Tanzania tunafeli kumuacha Uganda ajenge kwenda kujenga kuelekea Malaba mpkan na Kenya wakat Uganda wanategemea Yarp kujenga hio SGR, nikasema lbda Yarp anatumia hio fursa ili apate tender ya kujenga upande wa Kenya.. huyo akasema Uganda hawajengi SGR kuelekea malaba bali South Sudan (north) mim nikasema Uganda anafaidika na nn kupeleka SGR South Sudan ikiwa mpkan na kenya wanajenga MGR (yan kwann wasijenge kwanza SGR from malaba to Kampala kbl ya kuelekea SS).. haya leo umeleta wanajenga Kampala to Kasese yan naona direction ni DRC ndo mana nikasema sielewi, na pia nikasema kwa hayo yote Tanzania bado tunafeli
Na mimi nikasema Tanzania haina influence kwa hilo suala la SGR kama tunavyodhani haswa ukiangalia sera za serikali ya Museveni kwa ukanda huu na hata moja ya sababu kuu ya Uganda na Rwanda kuvutana ni baada ya Rwanda kuonyesha muelekeo wa kuunganisha reli yake na Tanzania! Museveni ni old school hapendi kuweka mayai yote kapu moja na anapenda kuendelea kuwa regional kingpin! Na nikasema dawa ni reli kuja kufika Mtukula kwa vile bado tutagawana mzigo na Kundustan pia kujenga wagon na tanker za kutosha Lake Victoria! Halafu nikasisitiza Kenyan media NMG kutoaminiwa nikasema New Vision au GoU gazette ndo kitu naweza amini! sasa unavyoweka map ya Kasese unadhani sijui iko wapi? 😳😀

it's interesting, back then you had to back up your argument with a legit news article but nowadays you can use unsubstantiated social media post to prove a point. I had a flikr and Photobucket account to save my clapback pics and videos....no gifs or memes back then😬

No one in his or her sane mind after being presented with a superior sgr option with cargo speed of 120kph using eco friendly power source can still choose a goods train of 80kph and environmentally disastrous power source also bearing in mind the rising cost of fossil fuel in the world markets.

Yes but in the mean time what option would you have chosen asume you wear Uganda's shoes.

Even if it is electrified the rail cannot support speeds above 80kph for cargo and 120kph for pasengers unless ufumue reli yote uanze upya.
