Actually, I believe some the photos were taken in the 60s, 70s or the 80s. Very interesting how the country has transformed over the years. There’s barely any street vendors – the informal economy grew haphazardly after independence.
All the cities in Tanzania are not well planned. People like the idea of seeing mansions being built in the suburbs aka “Dream Houses” but the reality is the majority of the population don’t live in formal settlements.
