Battle: Dar es Salaam vs Nairobi

Uhuru wants to come back as pm through bibiyai.
However, keep this in your mind that Tanzanians never give a JamiiForums' Community Engagement Guidelines | Mwongozo wa Ushiriki kwenye Mijadala about politicians for they know they are hungry for money and power too.
Whatever opposition or ccm that is non of their business. Ndio maana huwezi ona tunachinjana kama huko kenya Kisa raila sijui mudavadi. You guys need to grow up for sure, we don’t want to see you killing your own brothers and sisters for politicians like you always do. Mnauana mamia kwa Maelfu ili fulani aende kuiba and then he come back with handshake madness.
Tunajua hamtumii panga, ni mwendo wa mguu wa kuku aka chapa risasi. Hypocrisy at its best, ata hamnaga aibu mkileta story za ukabila.
Hata hiyo BBI unayoiongelelea, umeisoma, ikakuonyesha Uhuru will be a PM ones it's passed? Porojo za vijiweni ndo mnaleta hapa. Go find concrete facts before engaging in our political arena!

I see mungiki getting back in conjunction with Kiambu mafia and Incompetent Police killing thousands of you if Gikuyu will deliberately dare to harm William Lootal.

Where in the world did Steph and Ayesha Curry celebrate their 10th anniversary?

Steph and Ayesha Curry on Friday celebrated 10 years of wedded bliss in grand style, looking healthy, beautiful and stylish while vacationing somewhere in the world that has a white-sand beach and champagne and sunsets in settings out of a National Geographic spread.

“10 Yrs. My woman. Never a day goes by I’m not thankful for your presence, your beauty, your spirit! ” the Golden State Warriors star wrote in a caption for a series of glamorous photos of him and his wife. News also broke Tuesday that the two-time MVP had agreed to a four-year, $215 million contract extension to remain with Golden State through 2026. “Sexy as can be inside and out & continuing to show me how amazing our God is by the creation that you are,” he said.

On Ayesha Curry’s Instagram, the TV chef, cookbook author and lifestyle magazine publisher captioned one of her vacation photos: “My love! my adventure partner! My best friend! My confidant! My baby daddaaaay! My everything! 10 years married y’all.”

Neither reveals the location of their “adventure,” but the beach photos, cocktails and bikini shots of an enviably toned Ayesha suggest some place tropical.

Another photo shows the two in a jeep, sporting chic outdoor gear, including a safari hat for Steph. The photos suggest that the two are, well, on safari. For a sunset photo, the couple also pose against the backdrop of what looks like a wide, open grassland that’s characteristic of Africa.

An insignia on their jeep, moreover, suggests that the Currys are guests of Singita, an ecotourism and conservation company that operates luxury lodges in and near national parks in four African countries: South Africa, Zimbabwe, Rwanda and Tanzania.

And, yes, Tanzania National Parks gave away the Currys vacation spot, revealing that the couple probably vacationed at Singita’s Grumeti lodge, which is located next to Serengeti National Park.

The Singita lodges are “dedicated to environmentally conscious hospitality, sustainable conservation and the empowerment of local communities,” while offering guests tours into wilderness areas where they will have “a front row seat to the most spectacular wildlife sightings in the world.”

As guests of Singita, Steph, 33, and Ayesha Curry, 32, wouldn’t have been roughing it. The company’s Sasakwa Lodge is built in the style of “a stately Edwardian manor,” with silver candelabras, private cottages and wraparound verandas that offer “unrivaled savannah views.”

Even Singita’s tented camps, “pared-back interpretations of traditional safari style,” consist of suites that feature a private meditation deck, an outdoor “sala” with daybeds, a private fitness area and refrigerators filled with “gourmet delights.

The Visit Tanzania Twitter account also reminded Steph Curry fans that this is his second trip to their country. He traveled to Tanzania in 2013 on a United Nations-sponsored mission to deliver mosquito nets, needed to help protect people from malaria, the leading killer of children in that country.

For their anniversary dinner, Steph and Ayesha were back at a beach, with Ayesha wearing a white lace mini-dress and Steph sporting a “rocket lobster” cabana shirt. Ayesha also shared a photo of their cake, with what looks like chocolate dripping off the top. The photo shows her seated next to a glass of chilled white wine, with the caption: “Celebrations, ghost crabs and Stephen on a boat.”

While Steph and Ayesha married on July 30, 2011, they actually met in a church youth group in Charlotte, North Carolina nine years earlier, when they were 15 and 14 years old, respectively.

Steph proposed to Ayesha in his parents driveway, and the couple tied the knot in the same church where they met, Essence said. They share three children together: son Canon W. Jack, 3, and daughters Ryan Carson, 6, and Riley, 9.

In one of her Instagram posts Ayesha also wrote: “I can’t wait to see what the next 50 has in store for us. Happy day happy day! We’ve been doing the most celebrating the past couple of days. July 30, 2011 to infinity and beyonnnnnnd.”

Hehe, ushaanza tena na ma celebs. Nikileta list hapa waliofika KE, uanze kupotea!

Govt to suspend issuance of sugar import permits

Govt to suspend issuance of sugar import permits

THE government has said that it will suspend the issuance of sugar import permits to companies that are local producers of the product starting next year.

Agriculture Minister, Prof Adolf Mkenda.

Agriculture Minister, Prof Adolf Mkenda said the shortage of the product in the country is not due to the shortage of sugarcane but sugar manufacturers’ failure to increase their factories sugarcane processing capacity.

Prof Mkenda made the remarks in Dodoma on Thursday as he was addressing delegates of the 7th agricultural stakeholders conference held at Asante Estates at Ntyuka area.

“The government will not issue sugar import permits to local manufacturers from next year. By 2022, the country would be capable of producing enough sugar for local consumption because efforts are ongoing to expand existing factories as well as construction of new industries,” said the minister.

Minister Mkenda was concerned that more than 350,000 tonnes of sugarcane produced by out growers at the Kilombero valley in Morogoro Region are destroyed over lack of market.

He said Tanzania imports more than 40,000 tonnes of the sweetener each year, an amount that could be produced locally. He urged the sugar factories to expand their factories to be able to purchase all the sugarcane produced by small scale farmers.

Prof Mkenda warned against illegal importation of sugar in the country’s markets insisting legal measures will be taken against anyone proved to have violated the set regulations.

He added that expansion of the factories would help in creating millions of jobs for young Tanzanians as the demand for sugarcane will increase.

In February this year, the minister said that the government will gave the mandate for sugar importation to the Sugar Board of Tanzania (SBT).

The comment signals change in the government policy, which has been allowing traders to import sugar to offset the shortages.

Recent reports indicate that Tanzania's demand for domestic sugar was 470,000 metric tons, while the country's five sugar processing factories had the capacity of producing 378,000 tonnes in 2019.

Those idle facilities at Isiolo and Kisumu are not international airports! All International airports can accomodate B747s!

Now expansion of runway from 1.4 km to 2.5 km still will not be able to accomodate continental planes!

KPA defies Covid woes to beat Mombasa port cargo forecast

Cargo handled at the Port of Mombasa defied the Covid-19 disruption and a shortage of containers globally to surpass the target in the first half of the year.

Data from the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) indicates the volumes handled at the facility grew to 36 million tonnes in review period from 33.6 million in corresponding period last year, exceeding forecasted target of 353,769 TEUs by 2.8 percent.

The Covid-19 that hit the country last year, disrupted the logistics sector impacting negatively on trade across the globe with the throughput cargo at Mombasa port declining in 2020 when compared with 2019.

“Cumulatively, during the financial year 2020/2021, the Port handled total throughput of 36.054 million tonnes representing a growth of 2.4 million tonnes,” said KPA.

Traffic at KPA dipped by four percent to 1,359,579 twenty foot equivalent units (TEUs) in 2020, from 1,416,654 TEUs recorded in 2019, highlighting the impact of Covid-19.

Transshipment traffic also grew by 55 percent to record 125,141 TEUs compared to 80,278 TEUs witnessed in 2020.

Uganda is the biggest market for Kenyan goods and the top client to the Mombasa port, especially for transit cargo, ahead of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), South Sudan and Rwanda.

New Kisumu Airport

Just want to say that Kisumu airport has been relocated and newly built. Its larger now and neater. I’m not yet sure though when they will have international airplanes landing there? That would be great and worth it – for it’s a lovely fun city!
