Not Necessarily Magendo though that can happen as well, we dont smuggle food like the corrupt cowardice KDF that smugled charcoal all the way to Kismayu after KDF top officers being bribed with 500ksh by the mighty Al-Shabaab,

Na hii ya Al shabab did u know what was playing? Ama unafikiria ilikua tu ku "smuggle"., hata bunduki zilipita., for a reason za kijasusi., prior to taking over Kismayu that is what led to penetration of Al shabab positions and some cells. Hayo kando, magendo katika border za EAC ni kwa wingi sana coz they are very porous, hili intelligence wanajua but govts leave it to flourish so long as it is not a national security issue, it's an economy ya raiya the govts deliberately look the other way for it's people to make a living. Because nimeona mara kadhaa na polisi wanajua na hawazuii., especially food stuff kama viazi, beans, vitunguu, etc ni rahisi kuingiza na njia mbadala.

My former campus in Karen had many students from Tanzania. Those were good days, Maybe because its an affiliate of Catholic Church.I'm still looking for a former friend from Arusha, who was majoring in political science, dude borrowed my book - 48Laws of a power and never gave back
