On January 9, 2021, Chinese Ambassador to Tanzania Wang Ke visited the Magufuli Bridge project that was built by the three companies of China Railway 15th Bureau Group, conveying the care of the motherland and the condolences of the embassy to all the staff involved in the construction, and wishing to stick to the construction in advance Happy Chinese New Year for frontline employees.

Wang Ke went to the construction site of the bridge to inspect the progress of the project, and after listening to the report on the overall project planning, construction progress, and construction technology, he highly appraised and affirmed the progress of the project.
Wang Ke pointed out that the project department must go all out to advance the construction schedule, ensure the quality and safety of the project, and make every effort to complete the project ahead of schedule in accordance with the requirements of President Magufuli; at the same time, it must handle the labor-management relationship of the local labor force and coordinate the project production and epidemic situation. Prevent and control, complete the project construction work with quality and quantity.

Wang Ke emphasized that the construction unit should work hard to complete the project and make greater contributions to the economic construction and cultural exchanges between China and Tanzania. We must seize the important opportunity of jointly building the “Belt and Road”, bring China Railway Construction's excellent project management experience and the railway soldier culture of “opening roads in the mountains and building bridges in the mountains” to Tanzania, and take practical actions to help Tanzania promote industrialization And the modernization process to promote better and faster development of bilateral relations.

The China Railway 15th Bureau participated in the construction of the Magufuli Bridge project in Mwanza Province, northern Tanzania. It was officially named after the current President Magufuli on December 18, 2020 . The main construction content of the project is to build a 3,200-meter long bridge and its connected approach bridge totaling 1,660 meters. The project is a major livelihood project fully funded by the Tanzanian government, and the largest spot foreign exchange project contracted by the Tanzania National Highway Bureau since its establishment. After the completion of the bridge will become East Africa first Longbridge , is Africa's longest cable-stayed bridge with low pylon connecting Mwanza province and cover Tasmania, in greatly reducing the transport time of both sides at the same time, accelerate the economic development of the Lake Victoria region.

Since the construction of the bridge officially started on February 25, 2020, it has attracted the attention of the Tanzanian government and local people. Tanzania’s current President John Magufuli and Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa have visited the project before and after. It also fully recognized the project construction progress and project quality and safety, and highly affirmed the participating units' excellent construction technical ability, high-quality on-site management level, excellent construction quality and efficient construction speed.
