do your research. the satellite is designed locally by local scientists, the only help is the funding to the university of Nairobi, the transportation by the space X rocket and the launch in the international space station.
i know you just hear about those terms but never interact with them in any tangible way. you don't even have a space agency to start with. What does that say about the reputation of your universities in terms of research and expertise? how do you expect the institution to compete in the international level when you don't provide them such facilities?
