Didn't hit the heights today. Very slack with his passing at times. Below par with his use of the ball. But look at that pass to Bobby for Henderson's goal. My word what a ball. What technique. Ridiculous. Tired late on and allowed Boufal to cut inside him a few times. That was a 6/10 performance but that pass is worth an extra point.

Makes saves look so easy. Cracking one from Djenepo and then quick off his line to smother Ings shot. He's unreal. So calm in possession too, there was one particular passage of play where we played out of their press brilliantly and ended with Salah scoring from an offside position. That passage of play was made possible by Ali's calmness under pressure. He's so good when he catches a backpass the referees don't spot it. Almost handled outside his area but had the awareness to quickly get rid. One dangerous cross put him in trouble late on but he had it covered.

We forget how young he is at times. He's younger than Nat Phillips and has still yet to play a 100 games at this level. That shows at times. His one on one defending today wasn't up to scratch. He allowed Ings to turn him too easily twice. Ings could have scored from one and potentially gotten a penalty on the other. He allowed Long sneak in behind him for a long ball too, then when Virgil blocked the pass Joe just headee it straight to Long two yards away from him for a free sight at goal. Second half though he improved. Huge goal saving block on Hjojberg and was in the right place at the right time to cut out passes and use his tremendous pace to use. He showed it when Bertrand was played in behind late on. He's absolutely rapid. He'll learn, the more he plays alongside Virg.

First half he was hit and miss. Some good bits of play, coupled with some sloppy play. Second half he was nigh on perfect though. Defended doggedly and got forward well and used the ball well. Didn't miss Sadio too much today, his combination play with Ox and co ahead of him was better than in recent games.

Best two on one defender I've ever seen. How many times did Ings and Long break free two on one and try to play in the other? Big Virg was always on hand to stretch and cut out that pass to prevent a tap in. He's such a ridiculous defender, we take him for granted sometimes. He should have scored though, when he brought down Mo's pass and decided to backheel instead of put his foot through it. Great for us at set pieces, he wins them all. Gone are the days we feared every set pieces we conceded. Frustrated the life out of both Ings and Long till they were subbed. Djenepo tried to get away from him but with help from Joe, he saw him off and cleared.

Looked way better than he's looked since returning from injury. Still not at his best though, as he misplaced too many passes and was sometimes too easily beaten. He's getting closer to his best though. Encouraging performance. Good solid win of the ball in midfield set us on our way to one of the late goals. His first time pass over to Mo needs work though, his radar is slightly off. Very encouraging performance though.

Works so hard and doesn't allow standards to slip. He's always on their case when they're sloppy. He took his goal with aplomb. That's the confidence he's playing with right now. He no longer panicks when he has to shoot. He calmly took a touch and did the goalkeeper with his eyes before slotting. Boss assist as well. That's another goal and assist performance since being pushed forward by Fabinho's return. His versatility is underrated. Was our best player after Fab's injury in that 6 role and is now still our best player playing further forward. Those POTY shouts will only get louder.

Well marshalled first half. Trent wasn't really getting up in support so he was isolated. Fab's passes for him were overhit so he had to feed on scraps. Second half, his teammates got him involved more and he came to life. Messi-esque chip after Henderson's pass in behind. Sublime finish, makes you wonder ehy he doesn't try chipping the goalkeeper more often. He was dangerous from then on and was always involved. So unselfish today, clearly wanted his amigo to also score. But Bobby is even more unselfish and returned the pass to him for his second. You can see why he sometimes goes on his own. He made a good run, beat Bednarek and played Minamino in for an easy chance. He could have had a hat trick today but kept trying to get Bobby on the scoresheet. Consummate performance today.

In games like this you wonder if we can't upgrade. Is there someone who can be as diligent defensively as Gini but way more of a goal threat when the chance arises? I counted three times first half where he was found clean through in the box and he passed to no one I'm particular on two occasions and a powder puff shot after Fab's pass. Needs to be more confident in those situations. Only criticism I still have of his game. Rest of his game is fantastic.
