We need to be more inclusive, lack of inclusivity hinders our advancement by limiting our talent pool. To his credit, in a very questionable and lackadaisical way, Magufuli can claim to increase inclusivity with his recent appointments of opposition leaders in his government (albeit the criticism is that he is silencing them). The public reading of the famed reports was itself inclusive in that the public got to hear what was written. We have had far too many of these reports that were not made public.

A step further, to increase inclusivity and transparent, would be to make these contracts public. Guinea is already doing it.The World Bank is highly recommending this as a step to curb corruption.
Lack of transparency is a factor that encourages corruption. If Magufuli is really serious about corruption, he should increase inclusivity and transparency.
Also, one cannot have inclusivity and transparency if the opposition is practically banned from employing its constitutional rights to association.
In addition, Magufuli cannot say he is serious about corruption if he does not nab at least one Big Papa of corruption.I am talking Kikwete level of Big Papa. We cannot sit here and pretend that Magufuliis serious about corruption while he was part and parcel of the whole deal and he swore to protect people like Kikwete. I am specifically mentioning Kikwete because Mkapa is largely protected by Presidential Immunity, Kikwete started signing this documents while still a minister and therefore the presidential immunity does not apply back then. Magufuli cannot use the presidential immunitu card to say that Kikwete is untouchable, he is not.
I will fully support Magufuli and say he is serious about grand corruption the day he allows an unbiased investigation into the role Kikwete played.
For now, anything else less than that is a political charade designed to boost Magufuli's standing but with no real substance.
Especially if Kikwete is roaming somewhere in Canada doing god atoms know what with whom, it is not far fetched to think that he is acting as an unofficial go between between Magufuliand Barrick Gold, cutting lord knows what kinds of deals under the table.
That's just the preface of the summary of the tip of the iceberg.
