Di María: "Mourinho is the best coach of my career"
Real Madrid's Argentinean forward spoke to Colombian magazine 'El Espectador' and gave his opinions on Messi, fame and his current club.
Real Madrid's Ángel Di María spoke to magazine 'El Espectador' and gave his thoughts on the following topics:
Mourinho: "He's the best coach I've had in my career. He's highly professional, he supports you at all times and he teaches you. That's vital for a footballer".
Fame: "I don't believe in fame, not a bit of it. I'm still the same kid who kicked the ball around in the street. With more experience, of course, due to my years in Europe, but as humble as I used to be. I try to be the same person on and off the pitch. I work as hard as I can to be able to give my all when I'm playing".
Key to his progress: "Confidence, basically. When you have continuity with your club and country, everything is easier. If you keep playing your legs stay oiled. And when things turn out well, you're even keener to get back and work and play more".
Contract renewal to 2018: "That made me very happy. I'm going to keep playing for many a year, but this gives you peace of mind. Afterwards I'll think about what I do. What I am absolutely certain about is that if I go back to Argentina it will be to play for Central".
Current form: "I'm on form. I'm more mature now, having played in a World Cup and dreaming of doing better in the next one".
Playing with Agüero, Messi and Higuaín for Argentina: "I like it, of course. We've done it in recent games and it's worked well. It's necessary to respect the coach's decisions, but if I could choose, I'd like to have three beasts like that up front and I can play just in behind them. I try to work with Leo in the creative department and it helps me to play outside, near the line, thinking about the 'pass-goal'".
Messi: "He's a phenomenon, what else can I say? It's a pleasure to play with him. He makes everything easier for his team mates. He's always available to receive a pass and he can do marvels with the ball".
