Very true. Ujamaa only helped in uniting them but it denied them the zeal to go out and venture. It made them believe that self-determination is a way of being selfish. That way, they believed that an individual's problem is everyone else's problem. That's why you see they how they label Kenyans as selfish people even on this forum.
