Watanzania wenzangu so far kwenye hii thread naona haina haja ya kubishana sanaaa tena na majirani wetu, all i can say is that it's true there's a lot of development in Kenya especially in the private sector(Planned housing estates, buildings and shopping malls, etc) ambazo kenya ipo ahead of us hilo nakubali na tukubali, dear kenyans huku TZ tunamsemo huu "Kutangulia Sio Kufika" and a good example of countries like China, Singapore and dubai have proven this, so tuombe mungu atuweke hai hivi vipindi viwili vyte vya magufuli vikiisha tutakuwa tupo mbali mnoooo, so guys let's just chill, relax and see how our beloved country's development unravel at a speed that will leave Africa speechless.

They can't get your sarcasm 🀣 🀣. They think all Indians and whites have money. Most of them can't even afford these. Tembea Westlands aone wazungu wakila kwa locals (vibanda) and not KFC while Kenyans wanajaza hizo KFC na Kemphisky. Mind you it's not out of curiosity but it's a trend across the country. Kenya ya sai si Kenya ya wakati wa Moi wakati ambapo wangepeleka hongo kwa mzee ili biahsara zao zivume. Anaye leta tetesi atembee Thika na Industrial area ajionee more than 80% of the factories are Kenyan owned. Tangu nianze biashara, I've only done business with a handful of Indians. Sio ubaguzi wa kirangi bali I meet more Kenyans than them. Most of these people I can conclude have never been to Kenya. Wanasahau kuna Indians masikini hata ku afford rent ya kes15k ni balaa. Right now most can't even afford Parklands and Ngara yet its like their district.

Private sector should be the one driving growth, not the other way round. The government's role should be making policies and not actively competing for business with the private sector like in the case of housing. Naomba utembee Kenya ujue miaka miwili si enough. The middle class population in the country is growing. We are busy chasing the next big thing. Visit a place like Nakuru (photo below) see how "watu wadogo" like drivers, boda boda riders, farmers and teachers have built nice 3+bedroom houses some have even built rental houses. Some nice cars too. Most average families I know from Nakuru have at least two houses, one in Nakuru and another in their rural homes. Mind you its permanent houses fitted with modern decor.

These houses you are seeing they are built by companies and saccos which have shareholders who own as little as shares worth kes10k which most Kenyans can afford. You can get dividends in return. You can get loans as a member. You can buy houses one time at a cheaper price. Depends on what you want. Look at the business model of companies like Suraya, Username, Urithi, Cytonn which are some of the biggest investment and real estate companies in Kenya. Pooling funds together, getting loans from banks and building properties that are affordable to average Kenyans. While you are talking of government this and that, the private sector is showing that it can also do what government's in socialist countries do. Those companies are the builders of most of these gated communities and I can guarantee that owning a piece for any hardworking Kenyan is very easy. There's also HFC which is a mortgage company and its also undertaking major developments in Nairobi. A small mwananchi can own shares in it. I can go on but you people ill always find something negative.

Here's an article on how boda boda people in Nakuru saved 100 bob every day to own some decent housing. Mind you these are people earning between KES500-1500 daily which is like the lowest you can earn in the informal sector.

Kwenda kemphiisky au kfc it doesn’t mean y’all rich it means you are spending your money recklessly since mnajua mtalipwa at the end of the month.. kitu kimoja mnacho kuwa nacho watu wenye ideologies za kulipwa na sio kujiajiri ni kwamba most of them they don’t know how to do savings. That’s every where. that’s what also happens to most of Americans, utawakuta wana ishi kwenye nyumba nzuri, magari makali but they are all Debts. Living a lavishing life while you can’t afford it. Kazi yao ni kulipa their whole lives. they are living on pay checks. It means when siku pay checks zikikatwa your doomed πŸ˜‚.. kwaio nyie endeleni kula kfc mkithani ndo life wakati wenzenu wana save.. kwanza niki kuuliza kula kwenye kibanda na kfc kuna utafuti gani? vyakula vya kibanda are way natural and cheaper, and at the end of the day they end up being waste..πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ it’s just perspective broo

Wasikieni wenzenu hao.. afu mnakuja huku mnajimwaga na gdp πŸ˜‚.. hali Nguma kenya huko.. na atakama mnataka kuji employee mta anzia wapi.. mali za nchi zimeshikiliwa na watu wachahe.. shauri ya capitalism..angalau government ingekuwa ya ujama kama Tz kungekuwa na room of adjustment lakini inchi yote imeshililwa na mabepari... that’s why it’s soo expensive out there. You got to have a job to keep up with the situation.. na jobs ndo hvyo zina kata kila kukicha...πŸ€¦πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈ ki ukweli una anzia wapi πŸ˜•.. unajua nyie ni majirani zetu saa nyingine niki kaa nikifikira it’s soo sad.. and I’m serious. I hope things turn out okay for you guys and I’m being genuine about it. Msithani tuna wasema wala nini ni ushindani tu πŸ˜‚

Those complaining hakuna kazi in Kenya and they're educated are simply lazy. They want to rely on traditional jobs yet things are constantly changing. Most want to start from the top. Another thing is there's the internet and the gig economy is a big thing right now across the world. But our young people want to spend time on Facebook and Twitter sharing memes the whole day instead of using the internet to make money or advancng their skills. I see a lot of young Kenyans working online and getting some pretty decent cash running to over $1000+ monthly while some of those unemployed still want jobs in offices.

Ivi mtu gani anaenda kukopa benki ile anunue Nyumba? Kama sio private sector zinataka kuwa ua kabisa.. najua unaweza pata mkopo kwasababu una fanya kazi kwenye kampuni flani kwaio bank kuwa na proof ya wewe kufanya kazi wana wa kopesha. lakini sasa Maswala ya kulipwa it’s not reliable. Ina maana siku ukifukuzwa kazi ambayo inaweza mtokea mtu yoyote .. ina maana utashidwa kuilipa benki na bado kuna maswala ya interest πŸ€¦πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈ.. you guys are living a tough life no lie. Na maswala ya share ni sawa nakusema mna wachangia private sector kuendeleza miradi yao while nyie mna pata minor benefits out of it. Tusi sahau jamani they are private sectors, wamekuja kutengeneza profit kwa ajili yao na wanao tumika kuwa tengenezea profit ni nyie wakenya. If it wasn’t profitable for them they wouldn’t be there at the first place. that’s how ubepari (capitalism) works. It’s only the few who benefits. msijitoe ufahamu πŸ˜‚ js my brothers.

Did you do literature in high school? I used those items (chumvi na viberiti) as symbolism to mean that you still import even the most basic of things. Sadly, you've taken it so literally. Tanzania still imports most of the things used in everyday life so stop this arrogance you are displaying here.
Which basic things we import?? List 'em

Don’t say they are lazy cause hujui wana hangaika vipi mpaka wanasema hvyo.. una niambia maswala ya mitandao, hao wanao pata hiyo $1000 sio kwamba wanaipata kila siku, it fluctuates. Most probably they getting that money on their good months, (na sio majority wana pata kiasi hiko) na kuna mida mingine biashara ipo chini na still you have bills to pay..kuna rent, food, wifi πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Kwa wenzetu kenya huko.. na emergency nyingine.. you definitely need more than working on internet.. you need a job. Life la kenya expensive wewe au unajitoa ufahamu πŸ˜‚
