i bet his mother keeps thinking dar es salaam is the same is she saw it in the 70s,80s or 90s.
i'm also 100% sure she thinks nyerere is still alive and continues rule this country till today.

Dar looks like one huge slum on google earth
halafu wanajifanya wameenda shule kuzidi sisi. jinga kabisa hawa.
akikuonyesha nitag...Leta google earth ikionesha neno slum in dar ukipata nafunga account jamii forum![]()

Na akiipata mm nafunga account jamii forum😂😂povu hilo.
nakupa assignment moja ndogo sana.
ingia kwenye app ya google map au google earth, search dar es salaam, then tafuta eneo lelote la dar es salaam linaloanzia au kuishia na neno "slum".
ukifanikiwa, chukua screenshot haraka halafu ilete hapa kwenye thread tujadili. ukishindwa kufanya hivyo, wewe ni mjinga, punguani na kilaza.
nakupa masaa 24 uwe umekamilisha assignment yangu.
Noooo! this ain't true. You people like comparing yourselves with us, Kenyans kwenye corruption you are second to none, kwenye kusifu wazungu ndo msiseme, corrupt law enforcement hadi tunaona viral videos za police officers wakipokea bribes halfu ufikiri tunafanana? I agree with you that we're both still backwards economically compared to other nations but what you mentioned is way too extra.
ataishia kupata bin slum tyres co. ltd.Na akiipata mm nafunga account jamii forum![]()

Nilivyo kua mdogo niliamini kila mtu mzima anajua anacho ongea. Sasa hivi mtu ambae ana amini chochote kinachotoka kwa mkubwa wake (ki umri au ki mamlaka) nina muona ana akili za kitoto. You should grow up and stop telling us about your mom's bed time stories.Wakenya watasema Kenya na Watanzania watasema Tanzania. If you have been to both you know Kenya is ahead. When my family went to Tanzania, my mom didn't compare Dar es Salaam to Nairobi. She compared it to Kisumu in the 70s. This thread is like those Kenyans who think Nairobi is comparable to Johannesburg. If you have been to both you know 100% Jo'Burg is better. The better option here is to ask Expats who have lived in both countries. Almost all will tell you Kenya is more developed but Tanzanians are more polite and Tanzania is generally safer.

As a Kenyan, things I envy about Tanzania
1. Swahili - The education system seems worse than Kenya but at least they have standardized swahili.
2. National identity - Tanzanians generally get along with each other unlike my fellow Kenyan yet still retain their cultural identity.
On that note, both countries are poor and the things that to me burden both countries remain.
1. Strong adherence to colonialist religions
2. Corruption
3. Lack of opportunities despite a decent literacy rate.
4. Corrupt law enforcement
5. Terrible access to education for many.
6. Kusifu wazungu. Lakini hii ni shida ya Dunia. The Asians have us beat here.
Frankly, most of Asia will develop even before Africa.
if i were you, i would stay away from this thread the same way other kenyans did to avoid being embarrassed by tanzanians.
for your information, nairobi regardless of being small by size as compared to dar es salaam, has many slums.
out of all slums, kibera is very visible, even a blind person can see it.

Why should I believe an American who lived for a few years in Tanzania and just left? I've been living in this country for a long time, I've been to Kenya too and fortunately I'll be there next week for five days. Hope I'll explore the city and take photos.I used to think Tanzania did not have these things, but since I am planning to visit and hopefully live one year there, I do my research and lo and behold msijidanganye. Tanzania is corrupt. Ask yourselves how can Tanzania not be corrupt? You are a peaceful country with no ethnic violence, a relatively high literacy rate yet still remain poorer than Kenya. That means someone is squandering money some where. Fungeni macho tu...I don't deny though, Kenya is 100% more corrupt. I have nothing to prove there.
Yet Kenya with more corruption is still better developed. Still poor though, still poor...
I posted an answer previously from quora from an American who has lived both who 100% said Kenya was more developed. Also, you guys will call me a hater regardless but I objectively think that Ethiopia and Rwanda will be the two East African countries to surpass Kenya if they haven't already, not Tanzania.
Eish, here is another one.

Hahahaa.. hapa ana prove ile point ya wakenya kupenda Kulamba wazungu miguuWhy should I believe an American who lived for a few years in Tanzania and just left? Now you're talking, we are so different. That you should keep in mind. It's true that ghettos do exist in America hata pia homelessness, I used to live in Seattle, I had a friend in San Francisco, yaani huko housing crisis ni kitu cha kawaida. Sasa let me tell you somethin, Tanzania is growing very rapidly, kisa umevisit quora na wikipedia kuangalia info doesn't mean that it's true. Quora na wikipedia hata mimi ni member wa hizo mbili, If i feel saying shit about Kenya on quora i can literally do that right now, next time, come with a credible source...I live in America, there are thousands of Ghettos here and I have passed through some very bad ones. Does that mean America isn't developed? I have seen so many homeless people in the New Jersey train station but does that mean America is not a developed country? When my friend from Kenya came to New York to do a musical (google Tinga Tinga Tales) even he commented on how the people in Brooklyn looked like they were struggling. Yet at the end of the day, America is still one hundred years ahead of Kenya. Heck, Tulitoroka umaskini ya Kenya tukakuja hapa Marekani... Also statstically speaking, the GDP per capita of Kenya is $500 more than Tanzania. That is the metric that at least tells you the standard of living.
On that all, everyone here is just talking without experience. I said what my family told me but until I visit Tanzania, it's not my opinion.
On that note, how did this topic come about, Kenyans and Tanzanians are so indifferent to each other...

Surpass Kenya in what! mbona unaongea kama huna elimu. Nime realize you are not informed at all ila unapenda kubisha. Kuna sehemu umetaja figures za kiuchumi! umenipa uvivu ata kukuelezea. So una plan kuja Tz kutalii then ukae mwaka mmoja! Jiandae kuolewa, i assume wewe ni msichana.I used to think Tanzania did not have these things, but since I am planning to visit and hopefully live one year there, I do my research and lo and behold msijidanganye. Oki doki, karibu Tanzania, hope you find what you are looking forPlease let me know objectively, I am just posting other people's opinions. I really though have no beef with Tanzania and just genuinely want to go and see for myself. Expats who have lived there have often objective opinions. For instance, I notice expats who live in China say the Chinese spit a lot. If you asked a Chinese do describe China, these are the details they won't say probably because they don't notice or don't think about it.
