good response.. I can understand that point of view, forget the apartments. I’m talking about villas. people could own their land, same case here, doesn’t mean they cannot buy a villa in an estate, not necessary to live in but for investment. Same case to apartments.
In short you are implying that the culture of property buying hasn’t caught up in Daresaalam yet.
now we could argue why, is it just preference or the purchasing power is still a factor.
The fact that you mentioned that it’s expensive to buy an apartment -and it doesn’t make financial sense for you to even consider it, then it shows you that it’s the purchasing power which mwaiofhawaii is talking about.

Don't twist my observation. Land is plenty in Tz anyone can own a plot unlike Kenya land is owned by the rich and politicians so it make perfect sense to buy apartments in Dar we build our own houses mostly.

Eti villa? Wewe nyamwezi do you even know what a villa is? Dar skyline is dotted with uswazi hovels everywhere and you are here talking about Tanzanians building villas in Dar instead of buying apartments! Are you insane?
