My thoughts are that the SOG should nolonger be part of the administration police, they should be absorbed into the military and should be given a special branch of their own inside the kenyan army,this would enable them to be more effective since capabilities would have increased, with more funding, more modern equipment, and more numbers in recruitment. They would also be able to operate deep inside enemy territory outside kenyan bounderies.

I think that was the initial plan as part of KDF but you know Americans have their own ideas . For some reason Americans trust Administration Police more than any other local Forces. This started during the infamous post election violence. And based on the nature of SOG operations which is mostly covert in nature, trust and leak prevention is a priority. Unfortunately Kenya is still categorized as a place you can buy info from the top brass .Hence the AP was seen as more untainted core group to work with .At least that’s the word out there.
