Kenya sent one guy from Team C ( Vincent) and 2 guys from Team D . Tanzania sent their usual one guy who’s everywhere ( kudos to him). The top 2 ranked marathoners in the world currently are Sebastian Sawe and John Korir ( both Kenyans) and they opted for major higher paying events. Today this morning Sawe won Berlin Marathon in a world leading time . He was asked to go to Tokyo but he opted for a $500k payday in Berlin. Kenya has too much talent. Kenya also left an automatic Gold in the men’s 1500 after the hottest runner in the world at the moment Phanuel Koech was tripped in the first round and never reinstated despite Kenya protesting.
