If I didn't know better, I would have guessed you're describing the US in your first sentence.
Still the greatest country despite all that.

Hio ya missed salaries, the only example is from 2023 when salaries were delayed for 2 days 😂😂 How desperate.

Yet in the midst of all that, we have a constant stream of bongolalas, SSudanies, Ugandans, Burudians, Congolelse, Somali etc..
All flocking to the best country in Sub-Saharan Africa outside South Africa.

Meanwhile Bongolala which is struggling 10 times more than Kenya, demonstrating or questioning Idi Amin Mama is grounds for murder.

We demonstrate to make our country better. Not because its bad right now (could be bongolala worse). But because it can be much better.

Sounds more like a HR/accounting hiccup.
Also, many universities are restructuring to the new financing system. Expect operational delays.
 

The county governments are not allowed to collect all taxes.
The national government also collects a lot of taxes from Kiambu. Probably only third after Nairobi and Mombasa.

If Kiambu was it's own country, it would probably be like the economy of Rwanda. Thika Town and Tatu city alone are probably richer than Bujumbura 😂

Reflection ya economic activity inaanzia kwenye osr maana huko ndo mnadili na watu wachini, idadi ya leseni,lodges and the like sasa kama unategemea allocation kutoka serikali kuu lazima utengeneze bajeti ambayo itaendana na mgawanyo ambao utatoka serikali kuu hapo ndo tunasema bajeti ya counties lazima iwe integrated na bajeti kuu ya serikali sababu 70% ya revenue inatola juu.

Huwa mnafurahisha sana kiambu total budget hata baada ya allocation Iko 23bil almost 178mil usd wakati Rwanda Iko kwenye 4.usd bil 🤣🤣🤣🤣
