Here is a real comparison between Dar and Nairobi by a foreigner with no bias.
Points.
1. Dar es Salaam is extremely slow. Nairobi is fast.
2. Nairobians are more metropolitan
3. Nairobians speak better English.
4. Both Cities have friendly people.
5. Nairobi has a more city vibe than Dar es Salaam.
6. Nairobi has more advanced architecture with more skyscrappers.
7. Nairobi has more glass buildings. (Wale wa blue glass buildings wako wapi? Niliwaambia hapo kwenu ni excitement tu kisa hamjazoea hizi vitu) 🤣 🤣 🤣
8. Nairobi buildings are better designed than Dar buildings.
9. Nairobi architecture is British influenced, Dar architecture is Arab, German and Indian influenced.
10. Nairobi has better quality buildings.
11. Malls in Dar es Salaam are terribly designed and horrible to be there and have fewer people with little to do there.
12. The roads are better in Nairobi. Roads in Dar are dreadful. (Niliwaambia huwa mnapiga picha za highways pekee mkipost. 🤣🤣🤣
13. Nairobi is more modern. Dar is more historical.
14. Most roads in Dar have no pedestrian walks. Nairobi has more pedestrian walks.
15. Dar es Salaam has almost no parks. The few that they have are crappy.
16. Nairobi is a more international city than Dar.
17. Dar es Salaam people like to show off. Even in clubs when they buy drinks they have to flash out and show off to convince people they have lots of money when most of them are actually poor and just spend most of their salary on booze. 🤣🤣
18. Quality of sound systems in Dar is terrible and the speakers are cheap. Sound systems in Nairobi are better.
19. Both cities have very poor street lighting.
20. Dar is hot, Nairobi is colder and chilly - swimming pools in Nairobi are heated. Loves Dar es Salaam climate more.

Hapo kwenye pedestrian walkways kutudanganya.
Nairobi ni only Uptown area in
a walkways nzr kwingine kote ni majanga kuanzia upperhill, kilimani, westlands na the like. Yaan ni hakuna kabisa bila kusahau open sewage.


Watu watasema Nairobi iko developed kwa sababu modern Nairobi iko concetrated sehemu moja ( hizo modern buildings ziko eneo moja) so ni rahisi kusema Nairobi is modern.
Unlike dar.. pale kuna modern glassbuildings 5 ukivuka barabara kuna historical buildings 10 za 1950 nk...zenye archtecture inspired by India, arab ,swahili etc...

Nairobi mji ni mdogo na majengo yote yamerundikwa sehemu moja ila in reality Dar ina modern buildings nyingi zaidi kuzidi Nairobi sema ziko scattered.
 
Nchi ya hovyo sana hii how do you borrow an expensive loan to retire another expensive loan and also use the same proceeds for normal budgetary use instead of intended development projects 😊
